False eyelashes. Like ‘em or hate ‘em, we all know they are here to stay. They’re pretty much a staple in every makeup lover’s dresser. False eyelashes are proof that something so small can change your look big time.
Personally, I love false lashes because my eyes always looking poppin’ when I have them on. Plus, it makes me feel like I’ve got myself together, and who doesn’t want that? But I have to admit, until this very day, I still struggle with getting it on. As much as I’d want to include it in my daily look, I just don’t feel comfortable about constantly worrying whether my falsies remained glued on properly or if I’m already sporting an eyelash where it shouldn’t be. Don’t get me started on those days when I accidentally glue my eye shut.
Lately, I’ve been seeing a new type of falsies trending around different social networking sites and I think that may just be the answer to all my problems: Magnetic eyelashes. Curiosity got the best of me, so I scoured the wonderful internet and bought the Original Lash (all in the comforts of my home. Ah, isn’t technology great?).
The packaging looks pretty fancy, if I do say so myself. I’m a huge fan for anything black and gold, after all. The box comes with 4 pairs of lashes, 2 pairs for each eye. The instructions said to create an eyelash sandwich with the top and bottom lashes—so basically, I just laid the top part on top of my lashes and aligned the bottom part underneath it, and tah-dah, done. Easy, right?
Well to be honest, the first time didn’t work like a charm. A lot of trial and error was involved, as with all things we experience for the first time. I noticed a lot of YouTubers gave this product a bad review mainly because of how long it took them to get it right but as for me, I didn’t want to give up at the first sign of trouble. With enough practice (and patience), it turned out the way I wanted to. Finally, I can have perfect full lashes in just a snap!
Honestly, I loved how it had a tight, but not constricting grip on my real lashes. It made me feel like the falsies will stay right where they are no matter how windy it is outside or how strenuous my activities are. The Original Lash gave my eyelashes the right “oomph” to vamp up my look, and taking it off is as easy as putting it on. I just had to slide my fingers to loosen up the magnets before pulling them out.
All in all, I’d give magnetic false eyelashes a 4.5 luscious lashes out of 5. It’s a good investment, but the learning curve will surely put you to the test.
P.S.: If you’re interested to try it out yourself, we have Magnetic False Eyelashes up on our store! Don't forget to let us know what you think of it! :)
