Are You Guilty of Any?
A nutritious and balanced diet is the key to a healthy body, but dieting is a difficult task to master. Deciding on what to eat and what not to eat can be a troublesome job for many. One must know that diet should not necessarily be an unpleasant part of your life, you can achieve the desired results without really starving yourself.
If you are putting in all your efforts and still not getting even a glimpse of your desired results you must be making one of the following mistakes.
• Skipping breakfast –
Skipping breakfast may seem like a simple way to cut down on your calories intake but it can make you hungry for the rest of the day. It is important to start your day with a healthy meal because a wholesome breakfast boosts your metabolism and reduces your craving throughout the day.
• Losing track of your snacks –
You may be keeping a track of all the calories you consume but there are high chances you miss out on those nibbles in between. It is very easy to forget about everything you eat during the day. You must keep a food diary and note down every piece of food that goes into your mouth.
• Not exercising at all –
Only dieting and not exercising may not quickly give you desired results. The more you exercise the greater number of calories you burn and the faster your metabolism becomes. You must try and find out a workout regime you enjoy and then all your efforts would add up and give you best results.
• Drinking lots of calories –
You might not consume any aerated or fizzy drinks but even your coffees, smoothies and nut milks can all add quite a few extra calories to your day. Alcoholic drinks are yet another calorie traps. You must try alternating alcoholic drinks with non-alcoholic ones or at least limit your alcohol consumption.
A healthy lifestyle starts with the little things. We wish you all the best in your quest for fitness.
